Default 1997 Jaguar XK8 BRG

I think all Jags look better with wire wheels. BRG over beige with Dayton wires.

Wire wheels are indeed the ultimate look. I simply don't want to spend the time necessary to keep them clean....

Really not a big deal. It is surprising how easily they clean with some soapy hot water and a brush. Diluted Simple Green when they get too greasy, but if you are diligent in keeping a clean car, then no problem. L

Half of the ten Jaguar I have owned have/had wire wheels. They are, of course, impractical, requiring occasional tuning and frequent cleaning, and are generally heavier than an alloy wheel. BUT, they do look great!
Classic Jaguar look.
As noted, cleaning isn't really very difficult.
Call me old fashioned, but I also love the look.

When I had an EType with CWW there were 72 spokes and I knew every one by name LOL
In this country they are impractical (but look great) we get more rain than most of you guys in warmer climates.
Yes they are pigs to clean, especially where they cross over, but worth the while as the cleaned effect is stunning.
Well done!

This thread is supposed to provide photos of our cars. Not the pros and cons of wire wheels. Just sayin...

Those rims are a good match for an X100

A glutten for punishment! Here is my recent collection, 2001 XKR conv, 2001 XK8 conv, 1998 XK8 conv, 1998 XK8 coupe. Just sold the coupe, exchanged the XKR for a 2004 XJ8, and currently offering the sable XK8 conv on eBay. I'm keeping the 2001 XK8, provided I can sort out the electrical problem which causes a lock out on occasion, but 20 mins later all is well, curious and annoying!

Default Engine Bling

I thought this crowd could appreciate this.

I spent over 20 hours painting the intake manifold.

I call it Tachyon Blue.

What do you think?

Quick shot coming out of work a few weeks ago. Snow on the ground, but the kitty wanted to play topless.

Flyboygus,

Very unique color. How about a wider shot so we can see it in context with the entire engine bay.

Any other bling in there?

Was that using a pro spray gun or rattle can? What brand spray did you use?

Sweet.
