XK8 1997 Audio System has "Popping" Sound

Hi, My 1997 XK8 has a loud "Popping" Sound from the audio system when the engine is running. Sounds fine when the engine is not running.

Has any one else had this problem?

Check the 2 molex connectors on the power amp under the top pump. They get tarnished and doesn't take much vibration to make them go flakey.

Does the frequency raise with engine revs? If so, suspect the alternator suppression module or harness.

The frequency or rate does not change with engine RPM. In fact, rather strangely, it does not change any at all with engine RPM (volume, character, etc.).
