Default XK8 Road Trip

I have seen a lot of post in the past asking about reliability of the XK8 for a road trip. Thought I would let you know about mine. About 6 weeks ago I posted about traveling from Omaha to Marinette Wisconsin for a contract job. Well completed it last week and left Marinette for Las Vegas.
Left Friday at 11AM and arrived Sunday evening at 5PM in Las Vegas. A trip of 1,889 miles.
It was a great run in my XK8, the cat especially liked Utah with the 80 MPH speed limit. Nothing like the needle straight up at 90 on the cruise control eating up the highway. The mountains out of Denver headed to Grand Junction Colorado were a blast.
The cat performed superbly and only needed constant feeding of fuel.
If you ever wondered about a trip it is most definitely doable. Mine is a daily driver now with a 109,560 miles on the clock. Surprisingly, no oil consumption on the entire trip.
I firmly believe the cat just wants to be driven.

Glad you had a good run.

I firmly believe that cars do better when they are driven. So you daily driving the X100 is great!
