Default XKR from 2000 Software

Hi Everyone

I'm a bit lost here, and i hope one of you can help

I have an XKR from 2000 and i have some transmission issues, i have bought this cable and software

JLR Mangoose SDD V143 for Jaguar and Land Rover Support till 2014 Year

The software installed fine and it reads the car, however it doesnt have my car in the software, from what i can google i need "Moongoose V138" but i cant find it anywhere!

Can any of you point me to it, or should i be so lucky one of you have it and i can purchase it from you?

If you google SDD V138 then first result is this:

IDS SDD v138 (a working version)

Just a warning, be very careful when using a clone Mongoose cable. I ended up bricking my ECM module when trying to flash it to the latest version and had to pay £350 for a replacement second hand module and coding to the car.

Its fine for diagnostics and clearing fault codes but think twice before trying to flash any module. I'm using version 1.31 which I think was the last version that came with the flashing files.

I believe but maybe wrong that the newer versions have to download the files from JLR Topix which won't happen unless you have paid a very expensive subscription fee. The danger is if you flash a module, JLR SSD will wipe the module and you will not have the file to rewrite it leaving it useless.

I have just looked at the link you gave for your cable and it states not suitable for offline programing, only online. That means there are no module flash files included so DO NOT ATTEMPT to program any module. The software will wipe the module and you will not be able to re write it.

Also you mustn't be online when using the lead/software as it will try to update, realise the lead is a clone and brick the lead.
