I know one of the traits of the S Type is the eventual peeling of the headliner cloth. I used a spray adhesive to repair a minor "pull away spot",but it discolored the material slightly. Can anyone recommend a product that's good for just this application? Thanks. TBG

hi guys, I never got a response...any recommendations? Anyone else had issues with the headliner cloth in a S-Type? The board underneath seems to be in good shape, but the cloth is sagging and seperating from the board. I was told that 3m headliner glue might be good. Should I use a spray or brush-on? (I have to do something in the next few weeks.... it looks really TACKY!! :) Thanks.

Hey pal, I used the 3m spray adhesive and it did discolor my headliner a bit, but it sure is stuck on there. I would do it at night though, or when it's not hot out. This way the glue will surely dry. Otherwise, the heat of the day will melt the glue and cause for the liner to sag again.

It worked well, but you're right, it discolored the headliner a bit...but at least it's firmly attached. I'll just tell my passengers not to look up. :)

Well you could cure that...rip the whole liner out and spray the whole thing with a few cans of the 3m you guys are speaking of!
