Sets yourself up for failure that is for sure!  Funniest part is that many automotive manufacturers get away with many things.  The crappiest part is what are we going to do about it?  Much like insurance agencies!  You could argue with them til your blue in the face and most of the time they win.

UPDATE: I went to the dealer today. They looked at the rust and said they will contact Jaguar and let me know by Monday. The service manager said Jaguar should cover this infact his words were "Jaguar should cover this. They have a great warranty when it comes to rust." Sounds good. Just hope they fix it. I will repost on Monday after They call me.

Alrighty!  You should ask them about that light to the ash tray or lighter ring as well...

I don't know chas, if there was already any chemical reaction already started the ziebart would only seal it in there.  You could always take your plastic panels off and check everything out!  You plan on keeping it forever or just a couple of years?

I plan on keeping the car 5-7 years...maybe longer. It really depends on how the car wears. I had read that Ziebart uses a rust neutralizer thus converting rust into a harmless powder. Then the apply thier sealant. I have a shop near where I live so I would like to go there and ask these questions directly. I believe they offer a free rust checkup.

I checked in and around the door jam areas and it looked fantastic. I have yet to look in detail under the car at the rocker sills though. My garage is insulated and I have a heater that I use when I am out there. It rarely gets below 40 in my garage even when in it is minus zero out.

How long does the Jaguar corrosion warranty last for? My car is a 2002 w/ near 60k miles. I would hate to do nothing and then find out the warranty does not cover me. Currently, I have no extended warranty to speak of.

The cold alone will not rust the car. It's the road salt they put down when it snows. it does snow alot here. I think you will be fine Chas if the car does not get salt on it. As for the ash tray light. I took the car to my Jaguar guy (which if you live in ohio let me know, This guy is the best you will ever find for Jaguar, Ferrari, ect.) He said the bulb is just burned out and he will replace it for me free of charge.

Well unfortunately the car has in the past, does so know, and will continue to see Salt that gets thrown on the roads around here. It is disgusting there is more white stuff on the roads than there is on the grass!! I would like to wash it but right now with all the salt still on the roads and some more snow in the forecast getting it all washed up is senseless. Afterall the salt only starts to reek havoc when combined with water.
