HID color temperature - choose your side
| 3200k Halogens - (I don't believe in that HID hooey) |
| ~ 4000k - closest to Daylight intensity/color |
| ~ 6000k - touching on the blue spectrum just a bit |
| ~ 6500k - touching on the purple side, but only slightly |
| ~ 8000k - blue from all angles, 28% less usable light (comp. to 4000k) |
| ~ 10000k - Smurfs have nothing on you |
| > 12000k - you're bleeding grape juice from every orifice and blind |

Thanks h20, that really helps! I thought for sure I'd hate the 6000K's but after seeing your Jeep, they seem like exactly what I want. I went ahead and ordered the 6000K's from mydepots on ebay, since that seems to be what everyone recommends. The icing on that cake is that at $69.95 shipped, the price is definitely right! I'll keep you all updated once they come in and I'll gladly post some pics if anyone is interested in them. Since I'll be doing the job myself, I'm open to requests for info if anyone is interested in pictures of any specific part of installation (ballast mounting, bulb installation, etc). Thanks again for taking the time to post those pictures!

No problem, it is a ralatively easy project. Definately drop by after installing them with some obligatory wall and road pics.
