Seeing as the 2009 Portfolio was just announced and has no engine change I'm guessing the 2009 XKR will have the same 4.2L S/C engine for 2009, unless they would put an older engine in the Portfolio.

I went the other way around.... from practical (4 doors) to the XKR although I have 3 other cars to drive.  Bord of 3 sedans so had to get rid of one and buy a coupe.  If it's the only car they can have then I'm sure they would seriously look at the XKF over the XKR although I've known some peeps who had a Vette as their only daily driver and drove it in the midwest winters.....nuts!

What I don't like is the performance numbers will be almost the same between the cars...great for the XKF though.  I guess most automakers are this way.......ie. MB C63: 3.9 sec // MB SL55: 4.5 sec

Probably the contract with Phillips?

The best part of the 2009 is it will have the 500+hp 5.0v8

Will this be based on a  bored and stroked version of the AJ-V8? (I know a 4.5 liter is possible with the stock bore diameter alone)

Do you know if the supercharger/Intercooler arrangement will be the same?
