Hello to everybody,
I`m a german Jaguar and Corvette enthusiast, the left exhaust manifold in my `99 XJR is broken, but I have the chance to get a pair of exhaust manifolds from a normal X308 V8(without the charger) very cheaply, so here is my question: Are the exhaust manifolds from the X308 V8 and the X308 XJR still the same. Thanks for any reply.

The cars both use the 4.0 block, heads are a little different. If you can wait a couple of days I will get specific part numbers and let you know if they are compatible.
Germany is one of my favorite countries in Europe to visit. Loved Bamberg.

nope wont' work..   XjR exhaust manifolds are different then N/A (normally asspirated) .. XJR has a supercharger and doesnt have VVT ... and it has a EGR system ..   and N/A has VVT and NO EGR .   therefore the bank 1 exhaust manifold on your car has a extra hole the size of a quarter  in it for the EGR system. and the ones you are trying to buy have no hole for your EGR system to bolt on to.

Hi jag_genius,
do you know any manufacturer of performance manifolds for the jag, i think before investing the money in a rusty british steel,
it would be better to invest in a pair of stainless performance manifolds like there are in my ZR1, but neither Arden nor Jagperformance parts can deliver it.
With greetings from bavaria

Jag-Genius,
Does the German market vehicle have EGR? Just asking because of the NAS emissions thing with Nox. If no EGR, theoretically, could be used could they not?

Thanks FactoryJaguarTech, this was a brilliant idea!
Jag-Genius, after the last post from FactoryJaguar Tech I went in the garage and looked with a dentist mirror for the EGR-Valve and I founded none.
So, would that mean I can use the manifolds from the normal V8?

Tag ZR1,
Where is Moosthenning in relation to Werzburg/Lohr? We have dear friends that live in Lohr-Steinbach and try to visit often.

Tom

Hi Tomxj8VDP,
Moosthenning is a little village halfway on the Autobahn A92 from Munich to Passau, on the other side of the river Isar, there is Dingolfing also named BMW City , where one of the greatest BMW factory is. Moosthenning is roundabout 200 miles away from Würzburg, but we also have good friends in Würzburg, so let us now when you are in Lohr, maybe we can meet us at one of this fancy wine festivals in Franken.
Best wishes.Franz
