I've been looking at the posts in the forum for a few days now, and I finally took the opportunity to register.  It looks like there are a lot of knowledgeable Jag owners and enthusiasts in here.  Like the subject says, I live in Charlotte and I have an '03 X-Type 2.5 (auto; silver).  I started looking at the forum because my car is currently in the shop and I wanted to see if anyone else was experiencing (or had experienced) similar problems -- driveshaft out of balance, air compressor leaking oil, and ball bearings causing a rattle/clunking noise (? - I think it's bearings).  It is currently in the shop at Scott Jaguar here in Charlotte and I should (crossing fingers) get it back today.  In the meantime, I am driving a navy 2006 X-Type 3.0 (auto).  It's nice, but I miss my own car; this '06 doesn't have the auto-dimming rearview mirror.   Anyway, it's nice to be here and I look forward to more posting in the very near future.
