I like the rest of the changes.  Do share a few photos along the way if you can... (building my mods folder  :D )

Definately worse lighting with the 6000K. That is the highest kelvin I would go for headlights. I've seen some with 8000K and it's alittle too much for me.  I like the look of the 6000K and it's tolerable for me. If you want optimum lighting definately stay with stock HID bulbs.

Here's a comparison between my Mercedes E500 (right) with 6000K HID Bulbs and 6500K HID Foglights versus my stock Mercedes S500 with 4300K bulbs (left).

During the daytime, 6000K looks no difference.  Here is my friend's Viper with 6000K HID and my Vette with 4300K HID foglights.

Here is my E500 with 6500K HID Foglights on during the day.  As you can see it's hardly noticeable.

Well I decided to change the chrome turn signal bulb today to the clear with alittle blue tint to them.  The chrome turn signal bulb just doesn't have enough light when on.

Here is stock with amber turn signal and side marker light:

Here is the headlight unit with chrome turn signal and side marker:

Here is the new clear bulb with slightly blue tint turn signal bulb (current setup). When on it's very bright amber.

If there is a way to get rid of that amber reflector to make it a clean look.  I know it's DOT regulated. I also installed Super White L.E.D. bulbs for the footwell lights. Now just waiting for the 6000K headlight and L.E.D. foglight bulbs.  Next will be wheels/tires with some lip!

My official title is "Professional Bum".  haha.  Although I bought all my cars new, the fleet is old or sold except for the XKR.  The Vette was during my College Graduate School days and it was sold for the E500.  The E500 was pre-traded in for an Audi S5 but because of the long wait  I cancelled my Audi S5 ordered and bought the XKR.  Glad I did eventhough it cost alot more than the S5.  The S500 is older too as the redesigned W221 model came out last year.  My work vehicle is a '06 Nissan Pathfinder.  The Viper is my friend's and he sold it last year and is undecided to go with a '08 Viper Coupe or order a Nissan GTR.

Does anyone know the bulb type for the center consol light....one in the middle that turns on when you open the door (not the reading lights on the side).  Thanks!
