If I read correctly it is just a software update to remove speed limiter... and add on spoilers?

Jag getting ready to redesign the XK for 2010???

Only 200 cars will be built in both left- and right-hand drive, for sale exclusively in Europe and covered in Ultimate Black.
The same 4.2 liter V8 and six-speed automatic transmission as in the XKR are used, with no bump in power, so Jaguar's 0-60mph acceleration remains the same at 4.9 seconds.
Instead, the XKR-S has different springs and shocks that lower the ride height my 0.4 inches, thicker anti-roll bars, a quicker steering rack and a slipperier exterior. The manufacturers' Computer Active Technology Suspension (CATS) is also recalibrated. The faster coupe prances on lightweight 20-inch wheels hiding Alcon R brakes which are optional on the XKR.
The exterior is differentiated thanks to a unique front spoiler, rear fascia and spoiler and side skirts, as well as a small XKR-S badge.
Inside, the S gets a full leather interior, a 525 Watt B&W sound system and various XKR-S badged trim pieces.

Do not get me wrong, it looks beautiful.  Awesome in fact.  Too bad we will not be able to get our hands on one...

Very dissapointing.....not much thought went into this. Not sure why anyone would opt for this when you can have your exisiting car much quicker with a trip to Paramount.

Good news is, their is a Rumor that Paramount Performance might be doing something right here in Orlando. Im from London originally but have found Americans are generally a little concerned with giving credit cards and dealing with overseas company's. Hopefully, you will be able to order performance products and have them shipped from right here in Florida. Personally, I ordered my exhaust and it was here in 2 days, no problems. Im sending them my ECU later this week and it will be a 24 hour turnaround.

I just hope those changes make it into the standard car for the US...

quote:

Engineers have added a revised suspension set-up with new springs, dampers, anti-roll bar and a recalibrated Computer Active Technology Suspension (CATS) system to improve handling. The supercharged 4.2L all-aluminum V8 gets a recalibrated engine management system that enables the XKR-S to reach a top speed of 174mph, 19mph faster than the (electronically limited) regular XKR. Peak output remains at 420hp and 560Nm of torque, which is enough to see the new model sprint from 0-62mph in just 5.2 seconds.
Visual enhancements include a new front air-splitter and side sill-extensions, a revised rear spoiler and new bumper with an integrated diffuser. Rolling stock consists of 20in Vortex alloy wheels housing Alcon R Performance brakes with red monobloc six-piston callipers and 400mm brake discs.

Would the XKR-S be similar to the Portfolio Edition here in the US?  Other then the increase in Speed Limiter seems the same ie... Exclusive color, fully loaded, Alcon Brakes, etc...

I think it is about the same thing.

Remember also, that here in FL, Tampa I think, 1 of the 2 Arden retailers in the US is located. Wow...that was bad grammer.
