With a similar (or better, depending on opinions) interior, same engine options, lower price point, better rear seat room, etc.  How will the XF affect XKR sales or product placement?

How long before the XKR moves into the same front facia?  What has been the model development cycles with this car.

It Friday.... just asking a few questions to get this section of the forum going... back to my cave.

Pretty sure XF will not affect sales of XKR. Or at least not in a negative way.
Considering that XF is now the entry level Jaguar   50 to 62k
XKR just PDI"d as of yesterday had a price of 103k
If anything i hope as more people become interested in the XF,
That it will also attract the High Line customers back to Jaguar
We"ll see

I hadn't seen showroom as busy as it was today for a few months. This car should do us well.
Still havent had any major problems yet. Had a XF s/c today with adaptive cruise. Fully loaded 65475. Not bad. Cheaper than the STR and much more car.
I need to get me one to go with my iPhone!!!

I, too, can only see the XF positively affecting the XK/XKR.

My 07 XKR was at the dealership for a minor adjustment. I went to pick it up and, while there, took a look at the new XF. As I was looking, they drove my XKR round to where the XF was parked. As my car approached, it set my pulse racing all over again.

What an incredible looking car the XKR is (mine is the convertible)! In my opinion, anyone considering the XK/XKR will never consider the XF, instead. Same engines, maybe, but two totally different cars that cannot be compared.
