Hi Guys:

Asked my dealer if they would enable the 'chirp' confirmation when locking doors (standard in some markets, I believe) and they said it can't be done.

However, they did enable the daytime running lights for me, which one of their techs previously told me couldn't be done, either!! He said they didn't have the DRL software!

So, the question is, can the 'chirp' be enabled on a 07 XKR and, if so, how long should it take them to do??

Thanks - Roger

You have to write the car configuration file. It can be enabled and the drl software thing was BS. You can set for Canadian or Scandinavian drl.

Thanks for this. I will ask my dealer again to enable the chirp.

I wish I had known about Scaninavian DRL. It would be cool to have headlamps and foglamps on together. Mind you, having said that, I heard that the front wheel has to come off to change a foglight bulb. I wouldn't want to bother with that every time the foglight bulb burned out!!

Same here.
The wheel does not need to come off to change bulb.

Yup....I was able to get to the foglight by turning the wheel all the way to one side although it would be much easier to work with the wheels off.
