I was reading Auto reviews (Jaguar XF: Missed it by a nose)
http://info.detnews.com/autosconsumer/autoreviews/index.cfm?id=30328

(The XF lands just as the U.S. economy is in a flat spin, premium gas is hitting $4 a gallon and the luxury car market is falling on its posh butt.)

So after reading/watching the video review, I was wondering why no V6 for us on this side of the pond?

Probably because people who buy jaguars typically aren't straped for cash.  It;s a stupid way to look at it, but it's probably how the executives were thinking.

It maybe the image Americans have for the car line.  We don't get the diesels in Jaguar or Land Rover either.  And, except for a couple hundred 3.6 liter XJS models brought over in the mid-80's, we couldn't get manual transmissions in Jaguars.  There are many more little options that are standard in the US market.

I think funny thing is that there are 2.5 V6  X Types around besides 3.0 V6 . By this logic if X Types had equipped w/ V8 engines too , there would not have V6 engines in the US market lol

This was addressed in an article (from a XF magazine I grabbed at the dealer) titled "Made for America". It was answered by Marti Eulberg, Executive VP of marketing and sales for Jaguar North America:

"We wanted to make sure all our customers got to enjoy a blend of power and refinement that will make the XF stand out from its rivals. We wanted to define the car's character as that of a true sporting sedan, with dynamic performance, powerful acceleration, and strong midrange response. That, to us in North America, means V8 rather than V6 power. And we think it would be a crime not to let all our buyers experience the sensational exhaust sound that the V8 models offer."

Well that surely is the answer, but is he saying that they are selling a slug to the European customers? Sounds that way to me
