I really mean it this time too...haha.

I've without a doubt decided my 93 XJ40 is with me until death...hopefully she goes first though..lol. Took the For Sale signs off it today. (and I think I saw her smile at me..haha.)

This is how I've come to my conclusion:

-If I were to get 6500 for mine (which someone offered me but I said Id call them back) I'd prolly find one with 75-80K miles for idk 5-5500 and have a grand left. And since I would want similar rims, tints and a stereo system again I'd be looking at another $2000+ even though I'd have a grand to play with for that after mine sold and I bought a cheaper one. However I figure I throw another 500 bucks of work into mine or end up spending around 1500 on the next one to make it look like mine and possibly go through all the parts I've replaced again over the last 20K miles.

-So I def conclude I'm not sacraficing that money again as I have around 6K into mine and its everything I want already just to get a different 93 or 94 with a SUNROOF..I've lived without one for 4 years already idk why its bothering me now but oh well.

-Plus I still like my seats better in the 93's... and i'm NOT up for going through all the check engine sensor lights I went through, the hell with my drivers window, and replacing both front door handles that were very expesnive all inbetewwn 80-90K miles. No thank you, never again. Everything works perfectly as it should in mine and I shouldnt even be worried about the 95K miles it just hit the other day. I wont even get it to 100K before summer ends this year.

-I've got so much personal time, work, and memories into this car that theres no reason to start ALL over for a sunroof that could potentially break!!

So right now this is my TO DO LIST:

***get the fan clutch installed (which i already have)
***Absolutely have to buy that conversion rear suspension kit because my back end is banging around on bumps and riding lower now. I even took out my heavy spare today to lighten the stress back there. So KEN THAT MEANS ILL BE BUYING THAT KIT FROM YOU SOOOON!
***And where are the ABS sensors, one for each wheel right??? I want to take each wheel off and disconenct them and really clean them all up cuz my ABS lights thats been on for 2 years since I replaced one of those sensors has been going on and off way more than often and I think I will be able to get it off completely if I clean those sensors up.

Glad, you finally made your mind up lol
Sunroofs are cool items but sometimes they might be problematic too .
For inst: My '93's sunroof developed some rusts all around .

The rear ABS sensors bolt in each rear hub carrier.  There're the only electrical pieces on there.  A good cleaning may do the trick.  Also, check the wire and connector for bare spots or debris.

One more thing Ken. what about the front wheels? I was under the impression there was an ABS sensor for each wheel?

Correct.  They are in about the same location as the rears.  They come in from the back and top and are the only electrical pieces down there.

well thats good, I hope to maybe get a chance this weekend to take the wheels off and fiddle around with those sensors. Plus the inside of my rims do def need a cleaning while they're already off!!

I have been driving my X300 for the last weeks, and also friends MB ML and a few other cars. My XJ40 -93 has been left aside under a tree... well, I went out yesterday and tried to start the poor thing and there was neve any doubt, she fired up at the first try. The first few miles felt a litle... how sould I put it, the XJ40 felt old and used. The X300 is a more smooth ride, the soundsystem is better the supercharged preformance is better etc. But then, after a few miles, I started to feel more comfortable and after an hour of driving I dident want to stop, the XJ40 is an amazing car. I might sell my XJR, I might sell my apartment, but I will never ever sell my XJ40 -93. I phoned a friend of mine who has an XJ40 XJR, a XJS, XJ8 and a E-type and he agreed, there is something special about the XJ40.

XjJagXjJeepDriver; I think you are doing the right thing sticking with a car that you like!
