I have this tool and have used it many times. Four points to note here:-

1. Ensure the main threaded bar is well lubricated so that the large nut spins easily.
2. When you locate the bayonet fitting in the top spring pan, check and double check that
it is in fact located properly.

3. Ensure you have three all-thread rods at least 14 inches long with nuts on them
before you start. These rods screw into three spring-pan bolt holes once you have removed
them (with the tension on the main tool of course).
