I would like to replace the factory tape deck in my 2001 XJ8. At one time I had found a site that listed a few stereos that were (could be made) compatible with my steering controls. I got the impression this was without the adapter units I see sold for cars with steering controls. To be honest, If I can't have my steering controls it's just not worth it :-).

Does anyone know what units may have inputs compatible with my car (I remember a Blaupunkt unit being one of them)?
If there is no such creature or I am misunderstanding this... where can i get the adapter unit. I always see them for domestic (North America) makes but not for Jags.
