took delivery of a black on black xf supercharged. the day i got it the tire pressure monitor light came on... took it in. 3 days of waiting to find out it was just a broken sensor inside the tire... some tard who put the tire on the rim broke it off... surprised i couldn't hear it rattling around inside the tire... i've had the car about a week and a half now, in the shop for 3 days. now today, the 'engine malfunction' light came on... going in again tomorrow for that. mind you, when it was in the shop (and after i got home) i noticed a good 8-10 surface scratches on the top of the trunk... probably some careless mechanic with either a tool in his hand or a wedding band on his finger shutting it time and time again while playing around with the module. almost all of those buffed out completely except for a couple that you can just barely see in the right light... and i also noticed a lovely 1/4" scratch on the right rear door towards the top... all the way down to the metal. unfortunately i just noticed this one... needless to say i'm pissed. not sure what i should do about it... i hate the fact that its going in again tomorrow..... grrrrr. i'm tempted to make them take it back and have them do whatever it takes to get me a new car....... frustrated.

Sorry to hear all that..after they have it this time..mention the scratch as you pick up the car this time and tell them it wasn't there when you brought it in..this would be easier for them to acknowledge it than from the last time you brought it in.. Other than that, I knew this first year would have it's problems, should have waited for the 10 MY...I am

The cars are actually pretty flawless right now. I know it sucks to beone of the guys with a check engine light, but other than that and your tpms fault, the car is good. We have had a couple come in with check engine lights after 1000 miles. The tpms fault is just one of those things. Not a flaw with car. I haveto say this is probably the best ever first run car to be released by Jag. The number sold vs number coming back for repairs is outstanding.

I took delivery of mine, the next day the check engine light came on, it went back into the shop, and came back with grease on the seats, door sides, and carpet, mind you the first thing i did was flip the floor mates,i have the cream coler inside, and i left a large beach towel for them to seat on,i found it in the back seat, got the car back, the same day the check engine light came back on within, five minutes. now am a little mad. was just loading the car to spend the weekend at the coast, unload the car,put everything in the rover, they pick up the car on monday, and i get it back the following tuesday, they say the catalatic converter cauesed the problem this time, But the service dept was great, got a supercharged rover HSE to drive, and they and jag covered the next two payments,I have always had good treatment from my jag dealer, thats why i picked a jag instead of the CLS550. good luck...

Biggest thing IMO to realize is that cars have problems and the first year of car, no matter manufacturer, have problems...
