Hi folks, I have a 1991 XJ6 Sov. that was imported, gray market car. Drivers outside door handle is limp, will not open the door when lifted. Could a rod have come disconnected? Inside handle works as it should. Thanks in advance. Paul

Hi, thanks for your reply. Yep I'm definitely going to have to fix this, as I think Im going to drive this car a bit, tired of seeing it just sit in the garage. Put under 50 miles on it since I purchased. The handle its self lifts up fine, and is not broken externally, it must be internally, where it connects to the rod. I wonder if I can perhaps weld the pot-metal together? Also, was wondering where the plug for the car cover is located, for the factory alarm cord? I've looked all over the front end and can't seem to find it. Also, how hard is it to find a replacement factory chrome wire Jaguar wheel? 15 inch. Thanks

I plan to tear into the door panel to figure out this handle problem by next weekend, will let you all know the results. If anyone else has any tips, etc I would appreciate. Also..where would I purchase a new handle?
