I see Ken posted about his 52 Chebby.
I drive a 1950 Ford Tudor, bought it over 38 years ago.
Half a million miles.
300K on the last flatmotor.
This one has a Merc crank (255 base cubes vs. 239).
5-tube radio, heater, clock, factory (dealer, actually, in 1950) turn signals, overdrive, duals.
My errand vehicle is "The Ugly Truckling", an old 1950 Ford F-1, 3 on the floor, Flatmotor V-8.

Before some moron decided stop signs weren't mandatory and I had to stop doing what I was doing, my shop truck was a 1949 Willys Wagon.
3/4 race 50 Merc (Offy finned heads, Offy 4BBL intake with a 390CFM Holley, Isky 77B cam, ported, relieved, balanced, .100 over), Mustang II front end with rack and discs, Mustang 3.5 rear, OLD US Mags, red with yellow flames.
Gave it to my son who is re-doing the body and paint, I am doing the motor (when the machine shop gets the cutting done).
Without 1500 pounds of tools and equipment in the back, it's QUICK!

Takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'!
Went to my daily morning Starbux visit, climbed in the truckling, key on, choke out 1/3, neutral, hit the starter button, the 6-volt positive ground system made the distinctive Bendix drive sound as it cranked, fired and ran.

I do believe the sound of a Flathead Ford starter is as distinctive as first gear whine in an old Moss box.

Or, a radial engine.
