hello everyone, I just purchased a 1996 XJ6 and it did not come with the remotes. I purchased a 315mhz remote thinking it would work, but it didnt. When I went to program the remote through the valet, it made the noise like it accepted the code but when I go to unlock the doors it wouldnt work, The remote does work it lights up green when you hit the unlock button, and red when you hit the lock button. Do I maybe need the 433.92mhz remote? How can I find out for sure, because I dont wanna spend anymore money on a remote that may not work. Can I maybe fin out by vin number, or security module number? Please let me know ASAP, thanks.
