Was going to change the oil on a newly purchased 96 VDP.  A guy at the wife's office, who owns a Jag, cautioned her about some type of "calibration/adjustment."  WTF?  Can someone shed some light on this????

She really is meticulous about and protective of this car.

The Jag Shop wants $250.00 for a "minor maintenance."  I asked what it consisted of - an oil change , air filter and wiper replacement.  That's too E-Z and I'm a do-it-yourself kind of guy for minor maintenance.

What am I missing here?

Not sure what he may have been referring to.....

I have a 97 VDP and have done my own oil and filter changes all along.  She's now at 110,000 miles and running strong.

Changing the oil and filter on these models is very easy.
