2002 X-Type, debating 18s, but.......

Have a 2002 X-Type with the stock chrome 16s.

The wife drives the car and doesnt want an overly rough ride. All the rims we seem to like come in 18" or bigger............how is the ride with 18s? I understand the tire size will effect this obviously.

I guess give me your input, maybe some pics with tire sizes.

My 05 XType sport has the sport 18''s and I love the ride. Obviously it''s a little rougher, but the ride still feels smother than my A4 sport pack w/ 16''s.
