Was in Glasgow last night, at the casino. Parked the A6 just off the broomielaw and went to " have some fun".....lol with a mate of mine.
Got back to the car around 12.30 and some tosser had done the drivers window ( glass bloody everywhere ) and stole my Sat nav / radar detector and sun glasses etc. Door all scratched, door cards scracthed as well, along with the door pillar and the centre console area
Put an old jacket on top tof the glass and drove her home. Got her cleaned up today ( took around 3 hours to do it properly ) then took her to Autoglass for some new glass. After I filed a crime report ( total waste of time but needeed for the insurance claim ) and called the insurers to file a claim etc etc etc..........ARRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
To top it all off I lost a few quid at the casino as well!!!

Tried to put it outta my mind as best I could ( never gonna happen ) got home had mucho beers with mate, bro in law came round, more beers, then onto his place for ( yep, more beers ) played darts and pool till around 5 am then fired up the barbie and played some swing ball......lol

Really really pissed about my baby though......I treat her with kid gloves and try to keeep her mint.

Hopefully fixed up properly soon......I'll keep ya posted

Jim

Sorry to hear that news, Jim.

With all the security cameras around these days, hopefully the casino has a video of the crime. Did you happen to ask them or do you think the police may look into that?

Thanks for the kind words guys.

I've been talking to the Insurance company / Police / Repair centres etc etc today.......what a real ball ache
Got the replacement window fitted late last night so thats all done. Having had the car at the repair centre the estimators looked over it and it needs.
drivers door repainted
Drivers door card replaced / renewed
Drivers door frame repainted / renewed
Excess loose glass removed from door internals
Centre console are renewed
Glove box trim renewed
Scratches to front wing repaired / repainted
Road Angel sat nav 7000 replaced
Lacoste Gents sunglasses replaced

Nightmare!!!!!!

I'm gonna take the opportunity while its in to have the bonnet resprayed to remove a particularly bad stone ship.....cost to me will be approx £400 - £500 plus the insurance excess of £250

Ah well, once the new chrome door strips are replaced and the centre console lever is replaced ( under warranty ) the car should look like new again

Jim

My condolences Jim.  Most of us have had a break in at least once in our life.  It feels like you've been personally invaded. I hope you can get past this eventually.

Matt

What does up overall on the company mean?

I just hate how you have no claims and they end up raising your rates and what not...it's not fair...I guess I'm just still venting after my first ever insurance claim...I can't believe you like the audi more than your mondeo!  I'd be driving that thing everywhere!
