hi, is it a Right Hand Drive model? first thing to check is if your EFI system has a Inertia Fuel Cutoff Switch (IFCS). Those are designed to cut off the fuel supply in event of a crash, and they sometimes tripp. Place your transmission shifter in position 1, and turn the ignition switch to START several times, see if you hear the fuel pump charging. You should hear a "whirring" sound from the fuel pump. Not being familiar with the 1979, could be a Series II or a III, I don't know if your fuel pump(s) is/are inside the tanks or only one pump in the trunk/boot. Jose

what do you mean by troubles starting? What happens when you turn the key? Does it do nothing, or turn over and not fire up? In my 1986 sovereign, I've had problems with the neutral safety switch. Occasionally when you turn the key in park, nothing happens - drop it into neutral and it fires up. If nothing happens when you turn the key, you might want to at least try starting it in neutral.
