JagtechOhio -> RE: Wanted - Security Control Module - 98XJ8L (6/25/2008 2:19:51 AM)

Here''s my suggestion: Please contact your selling merchant for technical support on proper installation and use of the item you purchased. This is a tad humerous, and it speaks to the issue about the guy who got all pissed off when he couldn''t get a local shop to provide a free diagnosis of his car when he called them. In response to your "wanted" advertisement, I checked my inventory, dug through the donor car to acquire the VCATS code, researched current new list pricing and availability, established an equitable sale price (at far lower than the last identical item I sold), and wrote you a very long and detailed email about how to properly identify and obtain the correct module for your car. For that, I did not receive a reply, a thanks, a counter offer to match price, a sale, or a free pizza. I get a personal request for more free advice. That smells like alot of things, and disrespect is high on the list. Right back at you. A customer could drive into my shop tomorrow who needs a $750 component, and be a tad dismayed when he hears the price and the news that Jaguar cannot supply the part. He will gleefully (and respectfully) thank me when I produce a replacement at 40% of the cost, and leaves with all related systems on his car working properly. That smells almost as good as....pizza. That''s my program.
