That''s probably the smart thing to do considering the car is new and warranty would clearly be voided when mods are made.

So are we done with this topic?
Has no one found a way to get the aftermarket kits installed or the oem
to fit?
I looked at both cars at the dealer yesterday during my visit to check on the recall and
did not see any difference in and around the headlight between the HID and HAL.
The sticker was the only difference.
Is all the mechanical stuff in the housing of the lamp? Would the car need programing if you were to switch to that light assembly?

Someone has to know :)

Be careful with the heat coming off the HIDs.. HID bulbs put out A LOT of heat and Ive seen many people ruin their headlights with them.. The housing in the standard on may be different than the ones in the premium model and you could melt parts of your headlights.. Its unlikely, but I have a feeling the headlight housings for the XF arent cheap..
