LOVE THIS CAR.....however...
This was pretty scary - the check engine warning light lit (amber) and I got the "Failsafe engine mode message"....the car started losing power quickly although I was able to get it home.....any ideas out there? Also failure on ABS

Do what my predominately German family tells me, ditch the jag, buy a realiable benz. haha, our boy Sir Kenneth is right, first thing to do is have someone plug her in and check the codes.

the diagnosis was - throttle body replacement, transmission + spark plugs
