I have a 1995 Jaguar XJS that has a dead battery.  Can''t enter trunk with my keys.  Any help?

Try applying 12VDC through the cigar lighter with the key in the ignition, turned on. This should backfeed the system so you can open the trunk. If the cigar lighter is usually hot without the key turned on, you won''t have to use the ignition.

Cigarette lighter not working...looking for a way to jump start through engine compartment??

You should be able to getg into the trunk with the key.  Try having the key straight up and down and then opening the trunk.

If the lighter idea doesn''t work, under the hood, on the firewall, are a couple of terminls that feed directly to the battery.
