ORIGINAL: Censport I hit 120 a few months ago, when gas was only $3 a gallon. These kids got on the interstate behind me in their flat-black primered Nissan 240SX with straight exhaust. I was already in the far left lane, and they started coming over, accelerating hard. So when they got next to me, I tromped it. Man, they were trying sooo hard! Imagine the frustration of trying to look so fast and sound so tough with your limited teenage funds, only to have some 40-something white-collar type in a stock six-cylinder, 4,000-pound luxury sedan embarrass you by pulling away and smoothly taking a curve at 120 mph. And never hear him doing it. [:D] As I got off the interstate a couple exits later, I looked over the kids as they passed in the far left lane. The passenger looked at me in disbelief, and I gave him a smirk. ''''Get out to the track and learn how to do it right, kids.'''' I can only imagine their reaction when they found out that a 240SX cuts off the fuel at 115mph. haha (I''ve owned 3 as track cars.) I''ve noticed that the XK8 has a real sweet spot from 70mph to about 135mph. after 135, it just seems to die and won''t accelerate as fast. I am really impress how stable it is just under 150. the car just hunkers down and plants itself to the pavement.
