new jaguar owner and new to forum. thanks in advance for your help... i recently purchased an 04 xtype, 2.5 w/manual trans., at an insurance auction. the car has light hit to lf corner. very minor structure damage, lf headlight broken and lf strut bent. otherwise nothing major other than some dents to this section of car. all other wiring and components appear undamaged and intact. engines turns over great but does not start. odb codes stored include p0646 (A/C clutch relay control circuit low), p1637 & p1699 (manufacturer control auxiliary inputs and outputs), p1111 (manufacturer control fuel air metering), and p1338 (manufacturer control ignition system or misfire). additionally the climate control function does not light up or operate and the odometer display is just a bunch of digital dashes. the transmission seems to only want to go into 2nd and 4th gear as well. other than that, the car seems fine, lol. the car appears to have been well taken car of without too many miles and i intend to repair and drive it. i do know a bit about auto repairs in general, but nothing about jags in particular. can someone please tell me where to begin. btw - the fuse box under the hood does not have fuses and relays labeled, so i am not sure what goes to what. the fuses appear to all be good tho. i have no idea if they are all there tho.

thanks Dennis for your sympathy anyway. some of the problems have turned out to be not so complicated. made good progress today. the transmission had a broken mount which caused the shifting problem, due to binding. activating the fuel pump reset allowed the car to start. after it started, the mileage came up (only 31k), and the climate control panel came to life. those things were my biggest worries. i am sure i will need to ask for some more help at some point in time tho. thanks again for your reply.
