Here is the link of my Nav/DVD/CD/MP3 etc on my 2000 Jag.

http://www.jaguarforums.com/m_58905/tm.htm

I went for the Pioneer Avic-Z2 and have installed ipod adapter & bluetooth adapter as well. I love my unit, so far so good. Way much better than my stock one. Navigation unit is GREAT, DVD is GREAT, MP3 and everything else is great.

I''''m just missing a custom frame from my deck. Anyone of a website the does such thing, let me know.?

Thanks Man, I did a lot of research and I sticked with Pioneer. My Double Din stereo comes with a 30GB harddrive which means it has Built-In Navigation so no more DVD swapping. I love the bluetooth adapter because when I turn on my ride my Pioneer stereo connects with my iPhone automatically so I''''m talking and making hands free calls, simply the best. Here in California

Two new laws dealing with the use of wireless telephones while driving go into effect July 1, 2008. The first cell phone law prohibits ALL DRIVERS from using a handheld wireless telephone while operating a motor vehicle, (Vehicle Code (VC) §23123). Motorists 18 and over may use a "hands-free device." The second law states that drivers under the age of 18 may NOT use a wireless telephone or hands-free device while operating a motor vehicle (VC §23124).
Unless you are making an emergency call to a law enforcement agency, a medical provider, the fire department, or other emergency services agency, you MUST use a hands-free wireless telephone device. The base fine for the FIRST offense is $20 and $50 for subsequent convictions. With the addition of penalty assessments, the fines can be more than triple the base fine amount. The violation is a reportable offense, however, DMV will not assign a violation point. The conviction will stay on your record but the violation point will not be added.

So yeah, I''ll post a Youtube video about my Navigation unit soon.

I''m going to get a Pioneer Z3.  Pioneer is by far the best over Kenwood, Clarion, Eclipse or Alpine.  The AVIC series is the number one selling line in the world.

we had an eclipse head unit mounted up to mcintosh amps and mb quart components in our porsche rs and would put it up against anything out there, simply AMAZING! im someone who believes just because something sells in big volume doesnt mean its the best, in fact i prefer small volume sellers because of exclusitivity...its like saying a camry is better then my R because more people buy it which we all know the answer is false

I don''''t care about who sells more either but I prefer pioneer over the rest...i hate kenwood because all of the features on all of their cd players are hidden.  But when it comes down to it money is the key factor in every decision as well as needs.  I''''ve installed a few jensen/phase linear products and have found they are especially nice for the money.  IMO though I''''d almost rather have a nav unit you can transport from car to car than a unit that is stuck in your car.

The new pioneer units have lots of features that are quite impressive but the prices are high.  They also come with voice software that allows you to use the sound/nav features much like fords sync which is pretty cool but the lowest model of nav unit doesn''''t have a dvd player built in, it only plays cds, which imo is dumb but many people don''''t use the units for the tv aspect.
