Agree wholeheartedly...Case in point; why would someone key the paint on my HUMMER?..Was it a deranged self righteous leaf licker?, or was it someone jealous I have a nice car that I worked hard to afford and they couldn''t?, who knows why some people are pure assholes....But what brought this on?

I think it''s rude of you to call people ignorant dumbasses man. Lets not forget money doesn''t measure success, what measures success is how you feel about yourself at the end of the day. We live in a society that makes most people think money is really important, so when people don''t have any they get angry, and that is why they bash others. The best way to be is to not care about attachments, and then you and everyone will be happy.

What, you mean that I have to work for what I get. People are not just going to hand me stuff because I want it? When did this change? Unfortunately, that is the attitude that a lot of people have, especially of the younger generation that was told that they could do no wrong. Now look at where we are going in society. Everyone thinks that they are the next "Michael Jordan", they are entitled to win the lottery, or something like that. Sorry, you aren''t, get used to it. I have fought hard to get what I have and have given up a lot to get here. But, I am going to be retiring at the age of 38 (first retirement). I didn''t just get here because I smiled pretty. I spent years working 100+ hours/week inside of a submarine, running a nuclear reactor, sleeping with my feet against a nuclear missile tube, spending numerous years away from the family. But, the long term benefits are worth it to me. They had the money they needed, a roof over their head, and a good education. Now it is their turn to fight through this thing called life, see what others have that they like and then fight to get it. Not feel that they have to destroy the thing they want so the other person can''t have it. Sorry for the rant. I wish I could find the video of how businesses are having to hire special people just to figure out how to make the new generation work for them. Anyone else see something wrong with that? Unfortunately, we are digging our own graves. Chris "Thermo" Coleman

Well, I visit other car sites, truck sites in particular. If I went there and "Ha, Ha, I have money and you don''t." or "I have this or know this person, and you don''t" than perhaps I could be called braggert. But this is not the case. I may mention that I have some nice things and am financially secure etc, often within the context of trying to advise somebody who is clearly struggling. Then all I get is attacked by a jelaous few who then accuse me of being pretentious. Whatever. I guess you have to stick with your own kind or act like a redneck so they feel better about themselves.

The best way to be is to not care about attachments, and then you and everyone will be happy. 93 - You say that money doesn''t measure success? Well, I''m sorry to have to disagree, but, to some degree, of course it does, jeeesh. Everyday people like you and me look at todays famous actors, sports stars, celebrities etc etc with their fame, amazing wealth, huge properties, cars, yachts etc and think they''re successful, of course we do! Its only natural and a fact of life. You dont look at a tramp / hobo / streetwalker etc etc and say to yourself....wow, I wish I had their success in life, do you? I know I don''t! Whether these " successful " people are happy or successful in their family life or any other aspect of their day to day lives, we may never know, but they are still considered as being successful as a general rule. I know some people look at me and think I''m successful ( lol, if only they knew ) because I have a new Audi A6. This of course was broken into a few weeks ago any my sat nav stolen and window smashed. My Mondeo ST - stolen on sat I live in a nice house in a nice area and some people say.......wow, you''re driving a nice car and have a nice house, you must be doing ok, as in....you''re successful. Maybe not in life as a whole, but, in regard to posessions, so yes, I''m afraid to some extent, money does measure success. Jim
