Has anyone swapped out their factory lighting on the XF and put LED lights in? Ive been thinking about doing this ... starting with the rear cabin lighting since they pop out easier and replacing them with LEDs ... i tried pep boys but really couldnt find a match ...

any thoughts?

hey kj, the only place i changed was my license plate lights and it looks quite sharp to compliment the xenons up front. I got mine from tire rack, PIAA ultra white i believe. they make them in many other sizes so you might be able to find them there. H20boy, and some others did some write ups on how to change diff ones out with sources listed for the LEDS. how did your HIDs turn out? i dont think i saw anymore posts in your thread for them.

i have an X-type. I have swapped out every light inside for LED''s. The overhead one was hard to find. What I ended up doing was taking the bulb out and measured it. I then searched by size to find one that fits. I must say at first i thought it would look bad or just ok but now that it is done I think they look great... so does everyone else.

I would also like to change the license plate lights to match the HID lights in the front I have seen them on Lexus and Cadillacs and they look really good.

Does anyone know the part number for the license plate lights I have checked some web sites online but the XF seems to be too new and its not listed yet. Would it use the same lights as the XK?

Also which are better PIAA xtreme white lights or the PIAA LED white lights?
