Using the special tools, detach the halfshaft. Remove the halfshaft seal. Remove the transfer case Y bracket retaining bolt. To prevent damage to the transfer box internal seal, make sure that the link shaft is not retracted further than 200 mm from the transfer case.Using the special tools, remove the halfshaft.Attach special tools to the halfshaft.Lever the special tools to displace the halfshaft.Install the transfer case Y bracket retaining bolt.Remove the halfshaft. Remove the engine anti-roll restrictor bracket top retaining bolts. Remove the engine anti-roll restrictor bracket side retaining bolts. Remove the engine anti-roll restrictor bracket bottom retaining nuts. To prevent damage to the transfer box internal seal, make sure that the link shaft is not retracted further than 200 mm from the transfer case.Using the special tool, retract the transfer case link shaft. Remove catalytic converter mount. Remove the transfer case Y bracket upper retaining bolts. Remove the transfer case Y bracket.Remove the lower retaining bolt. Using a suitable transmission stand, support the transfer case.Remove the transfer case. Remove and discard the link shaft snap ring. Remove the link shaft limiting tool.Remove the transfer case Y bracket retaining bolt.Remove the link shaft limiting tool. Remove the link shaft from the transfer case. Using the special tool, remove the link shaft oil seal. Remove and discard O-ring seal.
