2003 XK8 Light Issue

Recently purchased a used 2003 XK8 and almost immediately started having electircal problems when the headlights are activated. Sporadically all the lights (dash and headlights) will turn off for a second or two then come back on. There are no common denominators that I can determine as to when or what may be causing this problem. Any thoughts on this. Thanks, Don

I have read from other posts when xk8 owners have had dash cluster lights going out, that it could be a ground wire issue. Having your headlights and dash lights go out at the same time makes me wonder if it is a ground, it is a big one. Does your radio and climate controls go out as well?

Another often discussed subject is the turn signal/light stalk on the steering column. Broken wires or loose solder connections.
