Hi,

I decided to replace my old shift boot with a leather one that i got on ebay made for jaguar x-types (fits the molds and all). My only problem is that while i was trying to replace it there was a step that said to staple the new one to the frame like the old one was. I used every stapler that i had, but none had enough power to get through the leather. Had anyone replaced their shift boot and if so, what did you use to hold it to the frame (or what type of stapler did you use)?

Thanks!

ive never done it, but you probably need to use a higher powered staple gun. check out a hardware store or sears or something. you can probably get a pretty cheap craftsman one for 20 to 30 bucks.
