A friend of mine has a 1985 Jaguar XJS V-12. He is going to sell it to me for $700. It is green with doe interior.

The good: Garage kept, 1 owner, very good condition, nearly no rust, 50k miles.

The bad: one of the harness malfunctioned and caught on fire. The fire was put out quickly and did only nearly no damage to items other than the harness.

I am seriously considering buying this car. But i am wondering, if i part it out. Will i make enough money to make it worth my while? If anybody is interested in buying parts from this car send me a message with a price. If I can get some emails with requests it may sway my decision even more.

Can anyone give me any insight on this. Thank you

Also, what are the items/parts on the car that are rare and cost a premium over other parts.

What shape are the fog lamps in? Are they chrome or black cases? Are the lens in good shape? If so, I will make you an offer.

I went down to see the car today. It''s in pretty good shape. If i decide to purchase it the price will be 700. The good news is a local scrap yard will pay 1000 for the engine

And the fog lamps....are in good condition, the lense are not cracked and they have black covers.

Any other XJS parts needed by anyone?

forgot to mention car has an automatic transmission and the rims have new tires on them

does it have a glass sunroof ?

if so, are the seals in good to great condition?

i''m after a set for my car here in the UK, as you can imagine, it rains a lot here, lol

Yes, it has the glass sunroof and the seals are in good condition.

what do XJS HE engines usually sell for if in good condition with less than 100,000 miles?
