Well I have the car for 5 days and got my 1st warning. Check fuel filler cap. The fuel cap has not been removed since the day I picked up the car. I removed and refited the cap a number of times, and still have the warning on the dash. Is there any way to reset this or does this have to be taken care of at the dealer?

I have had that warning light a couple of months ago.  Tried opening and removing the cap and nothing.  I filled up the tank the next morning and the warning light went off and never came back.  You might want to give it a try.  Good luck!

Thanks for the tip GOSTRIDER. I filled up this morning reset the cap, and the warning is still there.

Any other ideas before I make a trip to the dealer?

Thanks

They replaced the spring on mine a few weeks ago. A known fault.

Somewhere I read that it takes 5 or 6 times starting and turning off the motor

that''s good to hear the light went out.

Btw....the day I bought the car new, I didn''t even make it home and my auxillary pump failed. First two days it was spent at the dealer waiting for a new pump.

See, it sometimes takes a lot of turning of the key before the electrics sort out
