Well intitially they weren''t too excited about a $2000.00 trade on the Subaru vs the 2003 Jag, but when you are standing there with a cheque book in hand... and an instant deal on a vehicle that they had had for a bit.... But to be frank I think they did really well for me condsidering the piece they were taking in trade. There was over $1700.00 in shop charges, and the shifter repair still to be resolved, so all in all, they helped me out of a bad situation, something I will not forget and my next vehicle purchase will no doubt be with them. I''ve already sent them one customer to purchase a new Subaru, so it will work out ok for them. Nice to see a dealer acting honorably. It reflect well on them. The Subaru continues to suprise us with it''s wonderful driving characteristics and economy. I would never have imagined myself in one a few months ago, but it has really opened my eyes about how we look at vehicles....

I have to take issue with "everything before 06 being crap". I''ve put over 23K miles on my 02 XKR in 7 months and haven''t had one ounce of problems with. In fact, I''ve had it since 06 and yet to have a problem with it mechanically.

I was struck in the rear a couple weeks ago, but I''m sure you''ll agree that does not count.

I will agree that WHEN these cars need repair ir is usually expensive. That should be considered before any high end vehicle is purchased.

Good luck with the Subaru. I''ve never owned one so I can''t relate...
