With over $6000.00 Invested in the XJ in one Year, and a current repair bill of $1600.00 with an additional quote of $4500.00 to get the shifter working so the car will drive. It has come to that point in every Jaguar owners life to call it quits. I have alas pulled the plug on this terminal case and decided not to recessitate. Last night I made the best deal I could with the Dealer and traded off the ailing cat. Passed up the offer for a newer Jaguar and brought home a nice reliable Subaru. I can no longer consider myself a Jaguar enthusiast, nor even a fan. If they were the last cars built on this earth, I''d get a horse. It was nice to visit here, vent, cry, and get to know you, but it is adeiu.

Alrite bro, well good luck with the Subie.  It was gppd chatting with you over the past year and than some, and it''s too bad your car went so wrong, I know how much you originally loved it.

Ish,
Sorry your Jag was such a turd, I may be following in your footsteps at some point, though. With these gas prices, an A4 is looking pretty attractive right about now. Congrats on the new car, by the way, I''ll be the fist here to tell you that Subaru''s rock. Which model did you get?
Anyway, best of luck, and come back for a visit occasionally, yeah?

Jag owners are dropping like flies on this Forum. Is it time to panic yet?

Bnc ... I got the Forester. Everyone I''ve talked to has raved about the bullet proof reliability of Subaru as a make, and the Forester as a model. These vehicle are repuyted to be touch and long lived with rare concerns. Consumer reports have nothing bad to say about these. Maintenence is low cost of operation is low. What more can you ask for? It''s not pretty, but most things ''pretty'' tend to come with high maintenence.  Don''t panic Kaz, it''s just as most of us come to our senses and more and more Jags permanently come off the road, it''s bound to happen.
