If you have a 2004 or 2005 XJ8 and would prefer the uncluttered sides of the 2006 and up, I just removed the side moldings on my 04 and it looks great.  They came off very easy and I took my time to ensure putting them back if needed.  The adhesive took some working with goo gone, but well worth it.

Looks very clean!!  I''m just posting in case anyone was wondering as I searched all over the web looking for someone that did it.

Thanks,
Doug

I haven''t got a single door ding on my 04, but a friend who has an 06 has quite a few door dings.  I prefer the side molding.  In fact I have them on my 01 XKR and another friend with an 05 XK8 is trying to find some side moldings.
