Hey all,

I''ve been noticing a couple of things with my Jag.  When I get to around 70mph occasionally the car will start to shake just slightly, but noticeable.  Could this be an alignment issue? When I pull into a parking spot occasionally I will hear a creak.

Also, anyone have any recommendations on a good Jaguar manual? I bought one off of eBay, but it is terrible.

Lastly, is it feasible for an amateur to replace the spark plugs and perform a basic tuneup to this model or is it going to turn into a huge project that is better left to professionals?

Thanks

Tune up is easy.  Go for it.

You need the JTIS manual on CD.  We have them for $125.

I''ve got a 97 long wheel base as well with the exact same symptom @ 70mph. I had the alignment done at a non jag specialist and they could only do the front because the rear uses some shims in the adjustment, and the back was slightly out of alignment when they checked it but not to bad. I am going to have the rear done at a specialist when I switch over to winter tires so I''ll let you know then. But if you solve it please post because I am wondering the same thing...

Most Jag specialists never touch the rear alignment.  I agree with Jag Genius, it''s in bushings or something else.

Mine started to shake and wobble a couple of weeks ago from the rear of the car right dead on at 70mph.. That little shake and wobble has turned into a scary 70mph message chair, it got worse in a matter of weeks, much worse.. I know my shocks are shot and I am going to replace them and have my tires re-balanced to see if maybe I slung of a counter-weight.. I let you know if this helps it at all.. I should have it done by weeks end..
