Hello-
I am new to the forum and am in search of a 05, or 06 VDP.
With luxury values all over the board and seemingly falling fast with the economy, what is the general price range if I look hard enough?
I''m told that the 05''s are coming into auction at the 19-21K range. Is this accurate?
If so, is it realistic to work with a broker to find one at the 23K range for a 40K or less mileage VDP?

If anyone has a good source, please pass that along.

Thanks,
Luis

hey luis, a good source is texascarsdirect.com they have hte best prices overall in the nation and a huge selection. id go for the 06 though, more warranty time and updated features like standard xenons and mesh grille. id say your price might be about right if you look very hard!

Hello Luis,

Let me start by saying u have good taste in ur Jag search.  I recently  purchaesd a 2005 jag SUPER V8, which is a combo of the  full tilt luxury of  VANDEN PLAS with the awesome supercharge power of the XJR ( 400 HP). one in good condition is still in the mid to high 40K. but remember these were sold in limited numbers. either way u will own a fine car one which will stand out from all the rest of the cookie cutters.

good luck
LUIGI

Luis, i realized after my last post and after what luigi said your budget figures are def too low! rough (lowest wholesale you would get for one that is pretty trashed) black book values for 05 and 06 VDPs are: $25k and $35k respectfully... I think for an 05 in great condition you are prob looking at around $30k out the door before any additional warranty...if you got a regular XJ8 though you could shave quite a bit off that even if you got the same options such as navigation, heated seats, and xenons. 05 and 06 XJ8 values also in rough codition for comparison are $16k and $27k respectfully...this shows you the value diff.

I know nothing about this company, but their prices seem very competitive:
