Well I figured I would show how a dash kit has to be modified to correctly house a double din.  The ashtray door opens flush to front of the unit.  Oh had to throw a pic of the Kicker RS''''s in.  All work is done by me (Firedog Installer).

did you make your own facia plate for it?  I guess it wouldn''t sit all the way back flush.

Its a ford double din kit and a Xtype kit modified and glassed together.  Yeah there was a huge problem with fitment because the air duct behind the radio.

It does fit right. It may not sit back flush like factory but it looks good. As far as looks go thats primer black since I havent had time to pull it back apart and color match the AC controls.

After all,you''re the one who drives the car.
Thanks for posting though as it has shown me how some aftermarket kits just dont suit the car.
Maybe if you had put some sort of spacing behind the unit to bring it further forward inline with the climate control panel it would improve it.
If ever I upgrade its prompted me towards the OE Sat/Nav with custom made harness to get it all to link together.
