Hey I am looking at the exact same car except the one I am looking at is a 84. How do you feel about the MPG''s  and how does it drive with a 3 speed automatic. I am between a 84 xjs and a 96 xj6

Thanks

Right now i cant answer for the MPG''s because my gas gauge isnt responding correctly. Couple that with the fact i primarly drive it to and from the office and a few errands in between which would total about 15 miles round trip.  On a full tank that may have lasted a week & half, giver or take. I figured if im not going to be driving it hard, with the engine wide open all the time, i should be ok.

The 84 is a heavier car and in my opinion rides smoother than that of the later models. Also too check the electrical system on the 84, there have been some known issues with that in the 80 model types. Other than that the car is fun to drive, with alot of room to stretch. If i find out anything else i will let you know.

Check your cooling system, or better yet, flush it.  Don''t allow this car to overheat!  Also, clean out debris between and around radiator to insure proper air flow.

Hey Ken i just looked at the website and i will definatly be buying parts from you all. I have got to replace my rear pads & rotors very soon, and figure out why my gas, speed, and oil gauges are reading properly so you will be hearing from me. Thanks again!
