Hello all. I just purchased a 2002 X TYPE 3.0 LOADED last night. It has 94,000 Miles and has a 100,000 mile warranty. It is blue exterior with a cream interior. Very nice vehicle. I am a little worried, I KNOW NOTHING about Jags. I hope I did not get into a car that is going to cost me as much as a car payment monthly to keep it running. I just want a good dependable vehicle. Someone tell me I made the right choice, PLEASE!!!!

Hi Tsquare... welcome to the group: ) congrats on your Jaguar purchase! I wish I could tell you that you will never have a problem with it but every car is different.... It depends on how it was maintained. I''m on my 2nd S-Type (both were bought used) and to date I have not had any major issues with either of them. As far as knowledge of Jags..... don''t feel bad! The only thing I knew when I bought mine was that I WANTED IT!!! LOL

Thanks. It appears teh people we purchased it from will become friends also. We all got along well and are in the same age group. I am looking forward to sitting down and reading the manual so I can figure out how to work the thing. I need to know if I need to have the warranty switched into my name, or if it just stays with the car no matter what. I also need to find out what I need to get a 2008 dvd for the nav system.

We all are that have a NAV system, looking for an up dated map CD..let us know if you find a copy..

Some of us (including me) refuse to pay $200.00 for an updated CD..just don''t seem that important.
