JDCQ Sunday Run...20/11/16
Okay, I'm a member of both the jaguarforums.com and the Jaguar Drivers Club of Queensland. I've been told (jaguarforums.com) that JDCQ members are basically old blokes who collect Jaguars but don't really drive them. Charlie P. and I are trying to change that. We can't do it alone. I love driving my cars! Please come and join us.
Wendy and I are leading a run next Sunday and you all are invited to attend.
Like all car clubs, both the JDCQ and the jaguarforums.com need "new blood" in order to survive.
Stu & Wendy?s Sunday Run
Cheers,
Stu

I have been to a couple JDCQ events recently at Lakeside raceway and enjoyed the day, from what I saw talking to members and taking part in the on track regularity event the culture within the JDCQ has changed a lot since 2003 when it didn't seem very welcoming to new young members with Fords.
I would have liked to come along this weekend but will be popping back to NZ for a few days. At least I was back on this side of the ditch when the quakes hit.

Count me in Stu. If I cant get to Wappa Dam on time, I'll meet you all at the Glenview Gardens for lunch.
I went to a JDCQ event a few years back (as a non member) in my 06 'Ford' XJR & found most members friendly once we got to know each other. The large and varied showcase of beautiful cars (incl a brand new AM Vanquish) made the effort well worthwhile.

Was a good day, Stu. Had an interesting chat with several of your clubs attending members and viewed some of their beautiful cars. The friendly JDCQ members I spoke with were mostly unaware of our Qld Forum and impressed by the size of our membership. I passed on its URL to some members looking for technical advice.

36°F and raining here so I had the heat on in my XK this morning after thawing off the overnight frost.
From the later post, it sounds like you had a successful day.
