Tamborine Mountain/Gold Coast Hinterland Drive. February

3 Attachment(s)
Hi guys, How about a drive in the Hinterland/winery lunch some time in February?
Big dog & Doc, this is your neck of the woods. How about some ideas to get us Brisbane and Sunshine Coast guys coming to you.

Tamborine has some great spots but you guys could be the tour guides for a great day out on the Gold Coast.

I know the area well, wife's family were up there for years. I used to ride up around there a lot too, but tend to head out through Samford or Somerset to the Sunshine Coast hinterland these days.

But if you have other places around the Coast that will make a good day out throw your ideas in. Nothing is set, just searching for ideas so we can head south for a change. Maybe entice a few Coast members out.:)

sorry dudes

Sorry dudes! I havent been on the forums in months. Been so bloody busy with work I am not even sure where my home is anymore lol! :icon_boat: Hope you all had a great Christmas break.

I am keen for our first get together. I do have an issue though:

As I havent been home much I havent yet swapped out my alternator
( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-153343/page2/). I am home from work on February 16th and have just shy of 4 weeks off until the 13th of March. I am going to try and organize to get my alternator delivered before I arrive home so that way I can install it the week I get back, and "IF" all goes well I should be free for that weekend following or one of the others. Sunday suits best for me.

Again...sorry I been in Limbo these few months.....

Back on line...

Orville (doc) possible starter
Paul (paulyling)+1

Paul has thrown some dates in so lets start from there.
Sunday 21st February
Sunday 28th February
Sunday 6th March

21st will be hard for me but I can make it.
Still no plan for the day except we want to head to Tamborine Mountain or the Gold Coast area.

Any of you Gold Coast guys with ideas now is the time to start throwing them in.

Lets cross the 28th off (if thats ok) as I have a busy weekend also and would be burning the candle at both ends

Would prefer:

Sunday 21st February (if the Blue Goose is ready to go, as its my first week back)

Sunday 6th March

Also as a world first, the Mrs is interested in coming too! :icon_hug:

Now being the Goose is only a 4 seater and my family = 5, would it be ok Mr James if some of my tribe enjoy the Luxury of an XJ?

Mate if you can that would be so cool :icon_beerchug:

Is anybody else bringing their better half?

Also Clarke I need you to guarantee no rain. Can you do that?

What if we pencil in Sunday 6th March as a starting point. That way you will have time to sort your alternator.

Then we need to decide on a destination. I will send group messages to all Qld members this weekend to try and entice more of the usual suspects and new members out for the day.

I can Guarantee no rain, but my guarantee would be about as useful as a used car warranty. :)

Cheers James

Yes sounds like you will be a chauffeur in the Luxurious XJ. Very fitting for the model.

Mine is only good to transport midgets at best in the back lol!

Will certainly try and make the run, possibly meet up with a few from Northcoast for breakfast and decide on the time, route and the date

Count me in

It sounds like we'll have a good big group! Count me and my +1 in. I don't know Tamborine well, but sounds like a beautiful drive.
